We are renting our house for the summer of 2023, between August and September. Read on.
What’s the house like?
It’s a bright 2-bedroom, 70 m2 apartment with a 30 m2 garden (detached from the main building) in the centre of Barreiro, a city in the South bank of Lisbon, Portugal. It’s a second floor of a cosy modernist building, facing east/west.
The apartment has been recently renovated, it’s furnished and features a fridge, dishwasher and washing machine.
Exploring the surroundings
In walking distance from the apartment you’ll find the municipal market (where you can find fresh veggie, fruit and fish), a chilled park and the river promenade (Avenida da Praia), Quinta Braancamp, river beaches with its bridges and windmills, as well as a few hot cultural spots (with live jazz and other musical genres).
Barreiro is quite a bike friendly town, and public transit works well. Crossing the river to Lisbon by ferry takes 20 minutes, and the ferry station is 15 minutes away by foot from the apartment.
The Atlantic ocean beaches of Costa da Caparica, Fonte da Telha and Sesimbra are 30/40 minutes away by car.
